ABOUT
Nanslafu Films is a Belgrade-based production company with a focus on contemporary cinema. Founded by director-cinematographer Ivan Markovic and producer Jelena Angelovski, Nanslafu Films realised several international co-productions, including Serbian-German-Chinese co-production, "From tomorrow on I will" by Ivan Markovic and Linfeng Wu, which had the premiere on Berlinale 2019 and had numerous festival screenings, including Viennale, Mar del Plata, Belfort and Jeonju where it won the Grand prize.
In 2021, Nanslafu Films produced the documentary film "Rampart" by Marko Grba Singh, which had the premiere at Locarno Film Festival. Currently we are developing several documentary and feature projects which bring together international teams of talented and acclaimed filmmakers and professionals.

Ivan Markovic
DIRECTOR-CINEMATOGRAHER
Ivan Markovic is a filmmaker born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. For his photography and video work, he received Erste foundation Award for Best young visual artist in 2014. His experimental documentary “Centar” had its premiere at Doclisboa in 2018 and received the “Best Newcomer” award at Dokufest. With Linfeng Wu, he co-directed the short film “White Bird” which was shown at Berlinale 2016. “From tomorrow on, I will”, a feature he co-directed with Linfeng Wu, premiered at Berlinale Forum 2019 and received the Grand Prize at 2019 Jeonju IFF. The film received the First Steps Award from German Film Academy. As a cinematographer, he shot several feature films including "I was at home, but" by Angela Schanelec which received the Silver Bear at Berlinale 2019. Lives and works between Belgrade and Berlin.

Jelena Angelovski
PRODUCER
Jelena Angelovski graduated from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade after which she completed her Master studies at the faculty of Political Sciences. After ten years of working in theatre and television as an actress, she then worked at the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Academy of Arts in Belgrade as an associate, and lecturer. Since 2013 she was working for one of the leading Serbian television and film production companies. She has been working as a developing executive, writer, assistant director, production manager, executive producer. In 2016 she produced her debut independent feature fiction film, WIND, which was screened at Torino IFF and was awarded for the Best Serbian film. She is a producer of the fiction film YOU HAVE THE NIGHT by Ivan Salatić (2018, Venice FF – Critics’ Week) and feature-length documentaries TAURUNUM BOY directed by Jelena Maksimović and Dušan Grubin (2018, Torino FF, Cinema du Reel), HOMELANDS by Jelena Maksimović (2020, FIDMarseille) and IN PRAISE OF LOVE by Tamara Drakulić (2020, Sarajevo FF). She is currently working as a producer on fiction films MELTING OF THE RULER (in development) and THE ELEGY OF LAUREL (in post), MOROCCO (in development) and documentary THE SOIL AND THE WINGS (in production). She is an alumni of EAVE Producers Workshop 2020.
